• OGUNDA means the divinity Ogun creates and invents, According to

  Yoruba tradition, Ogun created and invented all the needed human material to live

  a better life.This is the divinity to be worshipped by the inventors, engineers,

  doctors, philosophers, drivers, warriors, travellers, holiday makers, soldiers , navy ,

  airforces, police, secret agents and other artisans alike, Ogun created the gun, knife,

  cutlass, and other valuable things that make life meaningful in the physical plain of

  existence. Tradition has it that Ogun was the first being in creation that

  started to work physically, till the ground and hunt animals. Ogun also worked on

  the body of men, Ogun was the creator of all bones that gave men solid structure

  and the bones of animal before the Great Universal GOD gave them the breath of
• life. Ogun places the bones of men in the right place for easy movement and for other

  necessary physical activities. Ogun designed all the bones to withstand all physical

  activities men partake in life. This singular act make men a moveable, flexible, dynamic and super animal in creation,. that is the main reason why OGUN was called ATUNWAGUN, ATUNWADA, OR ALAJE ORUN meaning THE RECREATOR, THE CREATOR OF BODY STRUCTURE AND RECREATOR OF GOOD CHARACTER OR DESTINY.

  Under Ogunda meji, the importance of the number three as a special spiritual

  number is explicitly analysed and a special importance was accorded to this

  number. Ogun as a special divinity was a “TRIO DYNAMIC FORCE IN THE UNIVERSE,“

  and in the hierachy of divinities, he was the third most important divinity and a

  third day was given to him as a day of reference and worship. The third day was a

  special day set aside spiritually to give obeisance to the god of iron and the

  changer of destiny. It is the day to plead for the mercy, success, happiness,

  tradition tells us that Ogun possessed great power, extreme force, abundant

  energy and virtue to win all wars and to conquer all obstacles. Tradition also

  make us realise that Ogun destroyed all the powers of enemies  and overcome the

  challenges against him and other divinities when coming from IWARUN- the abode

  of the spirit or place of spiritual dwelling

  IFA also tells us that Ogun is the power that lies in the creation of IRON, KNIFE,

  GUN AND OTHER UTILITIES. This made “OGUN TO DA“ that is the GOD OF

  IRON TO BREAK, TO CONQUER AND TO OVERCOME ALL CHALLENGES

  THAT MIGHT HAVE FACED MEN IMMEDIATELY AFTER CREATION. IT IS THE

  FORCE THAT GIVES  MEN WISDOM OF CONQUERING, AND THE

  Ifa says ogunda meji helps men to overcome wars, daily challenges, worries and evil forces that confront them in their daily activities and strugglings. IFA says the power of OGUN will reinforce men’    inner power to overcome personal challenges and deter adversaries within and outside their domain.
  Ogunda meji also means the judging of a matter to favor all the parties involve in

  disputes. It means a state whereby OGUN – the god of iron and war, using his

  creative spiritual capacity to adjudicate and solicit a case between two or more

  people and the final judgement is in favor of all the parties involve. Indeed,

  tradition tells us that there were two jolly friends who were so fond of each other

  that they presumed temptation and dispute could not be their lot. They had strong

  faith in their friendship and pray against negative vibration and evil power separating

  them..One day, Ogun went on an hunting mission, he saw the two friends

  fighting over a fish they had caught. One of the friends believed that since they

  had one fish, he should be allowed to take it home so that his family can have

  food on their table, while the other party believed that he should take the same

  fish home for his family to overcome hunger. Fight ensued and Ogun met them, he

  quickly cautioned them to maintain peace. He said the fish could be

  shared without problem and each part will take a whole fish home.The two jolly friends refused the advice thinking  that Ogun wanted to take their fish away. Ogun with his wisdom and spiritual strength divided the fish between the two jolly friends by cutting the fish into two equal parts, one with head

  and the other with tail. But the miracle was that, each half fish becsme a whole fish

  and the two friends took home that day a whole fish each.instead of half head and half tail.They were satisfied, contented and blessed, praising the wisdom of Ogun and gave obeisance to the god of Iron.They promised to worship Ogun till the end of their physical life.
  In this situation, the word“OGUNDA“means“Ogun judge,or Ogun adjudicate, or Ogun solicit or Ogun give judgment“.Hence Ogunda meji implies a spiritual judging of a matter by Ogun the god of iron to favor the parties or the people involve.

  People with ogunda meji should pray against anger and the spirit of not maintaining a long lasting relationship. Because of tension, they tend to do more than one thing at a time thereby doing little of different things without a successful completion of any. People with Ogunda meji possess leadership quality and they have the spirit of dedication, encouragement and determination. They always want to be in the forefront of every controversy and they do not accept anybody as a leader. They believe they have the best opinion and fail to look at other areas to get a better support.   whereby man does not develop a higher spiritual capacity to do good in

  the conscious level of existence, while in the unconscious level, the mind

  is attached to evil thoughts. The ability to show two personalities within a

  physical state without the good being the dominant factor in one’s life,

  One of the personalities is good, ready to do good, act good,

  and look good, while the other personality in the same physical body is

  attached and attracted to evil and negative vibration. Obara meji occurs

  in all realm of life, both the living and the non living phenomenon. In the

  animal world, some look inoffensive, attractive and beautiful but in reality
